ryd

Europe's largest network for digital payment at the pump

ryd is revolutionizing the payment process around the vehicle. As the market leader in the field of in-car payment, ryd is a manufacturer-independent payment operating system that connects gas stations, charging points, and car washes in a unified payment infrastructure. Drivers and fleets pay directly via the vehicle's infotainment system or by app.

With ryd fleet, ryd offers a fully digital payment operating system for companies and vehicle fleets. The app replaces classic fuel cards and enables direct payment at the gas pump or charging station, as well as at car washes – without a physical card, without PIN management, and without card logistics.

Especially in carsharing, ryd fleet eliminates typical problem areas of physical fuel cards: RFID or card reader problems, card wear and tear from heat and use, loss of cards, PIN misuse, as well as delayed fraud blockings. Time-consuming processes such as shipping cards, backend allocation, or replacement during in- and defleeting are also completely eliminated.

Authorization takes place digitally via app and geofencing with real-time data transmission to the backend. In combination with sharing systems like MOQO, it can also warn against misfueling.

ryd fleet simplifies processes, reduces administrative effort, and creates full control over the fleet – ideal for free-floating, station-based, and corporate carsharing as well as pool vehicles.

For fleet managers and carsharing providers, this means:

  • Real-time cost transparency

  • Automated receipt recording

  • Digital billing & export functions

  • Reduced fraud through vehicle- and user-bound authorization

  • Scalability without card shipping and expiry management

Company

Founded in Munich in 2014, ryd GmbH is Europe's leading provider of in-car payment and operates a manufacturer-independent payment operating system for mobility payments.

Instead of outdated fuel card solutions, ryd establishes a unified payment infrastructure for gas stations, charging infrastructure, car manufacturers, and fleet operators.

Already today, a ryd-enabled vehicle rolls off the assembly line every eight seconds. ryd is active in numerous European markets and drives the vision of establishing a scalable payment operating system for all relevant mobility services.

carvaloo

AI-Powered Damage Detection: Fully Automated from Damage to Claim. Now Part of the MOQO Platform.

Carvaloo solves one of the biggest problems in shared mobility: undetected damages and the inability to assign them to the causer.

  • Automatic Detection: The AI system reliably distinguishes between a pothole and a parking bump or accident.

  • Process Automation: Once damage is detected, the driver (or subsequent user) is automatically prompted via the MOQO app to take photos. A downstream AI, the so-called Image AI, analyzes the images, classifies the damage (dent, scratch, affected parts), and creates a finished damage report.

  • Cost Efficiency: Fleet operators can save over 90% of manual effort and significantly reduce costs through successful claims.

Company

carvaloo is a German tech company specializing in machine learning and AI technologies in the automotive sector. Since 2018, carvaloo has provided the first reliable real-time damage detection for fleet vehicles, quickly becoming the industry standard in carsharing. The unique AI solution automates the entire process, from damage to claim, helping carsharing companies become more profitable.

Based in Essen and Munich, the tech company works closely with partners like INVERS, Deutsche Telekom IoT, Teltonika, and TÜV Rheinland. The technology is utilized by carsharing providers, car rental companies, and logistics fleets across Europe, North America, and Asia.

Lanterne

Intelligently manage fleet operations and business processes in car sharing

Lanterne is a productivity platform tailored for car sharing and connected fleets. The system automatically creates and coordinates tasks from telematics, booking data, and maintenance schedules, so that issues are resolved quickly and consistently across every station.

In most fleet operations today, the operations manager is the integration layer: carrying context between systems, remembering which partner covers which vehicles, and manually bridging every gap. Vehicles end up off the road longer, leading to less revenue and higher operations costs. Lanterne replaces that manual coordination with an intelligent system that works across all of them.

The platform creates tasks automatically based on live vehicle data: a vehicle sitting idle too long, a battery dropping below threshold, a vehicle outside its home station after a booking ends, a service interval reached. Each task is auto-assigned and routed to the correct team. Lanterne customers use this system to route tasks across more than 20 locations.

The system tracks the full lifecycle of every task, surfaces issues that have not been picked up, and accumulates a complete operational history for every vehicle. As it learns how each fleet operates, it carries more of the coordination work forward automatically, keeping managers informed through the channels they already use.

The result is higher vehicle availability, better customer satisfaction, and less time with cars in the workshop.

Lanterne integrates with INVERS, Convadis, MOQO and Zemtu, and includes a field technician app for on-the-ground task execution.

Company

Lanterne was founded in London and is backed by Innovate UK, Rockstart, and Skalata Ventures. The company has worked in connected fleets for five years, with operators across Europe ranging from local fleets to networks with hundreds of vehicles. Customers include Europcar Germany, MDO Car Share, mobileeee, QuickRent and Sway Mobility.
